I’m Ciaran, a Chartered Counselling Psychologist (HCPC & BPS registered) and Integrative Psychotherapist (UKCP registered). I’ve been working with clients both face-to-face and online over the last 8 years.
You may be seeking a therapist as you are struggling mentally, feeling stuck or have difficult personal decisions ahead of you. Whatever the reason, I offer a confidential unbiased space to explore what is on your mind.
Choosing a therapist can be a daunting experience so I invite you to explore this site which provides more information about me, the way I work and counselling/psychotherapy.
I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to answer any questions you may have and to initially explore the types of concerns that are bothering you. Feel free to get in touch and we can arrange a convenient time.

I work as an integrative therapist with a relational outlook. What does this mean:
I have training and experience with the three main classes of psychotherapy (psychodynamic, humanistic (including Gestalt) and cognitive behavioural) as I believe no one size fits all.
I believe we are biologically predisposed to be in relationship with others (e.g. parents, siblings, friendships, intimate partners, work colleagues etc). I view our ways of connecting and being in contact with others (trusting, avoiding, pleasing, fighting, shutting down etc) have developed for good reasons from past relationships. It is my experience that when present day connections to others are challenging or we have suffered a trauma, we find ourselves more prone to a decline in our mental health, be that anxiety, depression or more serious mental health issues.
At the heart of my approach is the therapeutic relationship between the client and myself and how this can be used to provide a greater understanding of relationship dynamics, and more specifically, as an agent of change promoting healing and recovery.
My fees are £85 a session. I have a small number of slots set aside for those on lower incomes or therapy students requiring a long-term therapy engagement. Please get in touch to discuss.
